Product Promotion and Sales: The primary role of an MR is to promote and sell the pharmaceutical company's products to healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and medical institutions. Building and Maintaining Relationships: Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with healthcare professionals is crucial. MRs often visit clinics, hospitals, and pharmacies regularly to ensure consistent communication and support, which helps in building trust and long-term relationships.
Market Research and Intelligence: MRs gather and analyze market information, including competitor activities, market trends, and feedback from healthcare professionals. This information is critical for developing effective marketing strategies and making informed business decisions.
Conducting Presentations and Demonstrations: They conduct presentations and product demonstrations to healthcare professionals, showcasing the efficacy and safety of their products. This can include organizing and participating in medical conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintaining accurate records and submitting detailed reports on sales activities, market conditions, customer feedback, and expenses is an essential part of the job. These reports help the company to track performance and strategize accordingly.
